You told me once at the farmer’s market to not buy another one of your journals until the one I bought was filled. Well I filled it. Front to back full of poetry and sketches. I’ve never loved a journal like this one. Looking forward to having another <3

Liz is definitely one of the coolest people I have encountered recently, with one of the most unique ideas I have come by at any market I’ve been to. As an artist and an art teacher, this booth was right up my alley and I will most definitely be adding Liz and her craft into my lessons.

I met Liz the other week at Dallas’ Farmers Market, when a friend of mine Rodney and I decided to get out and enjoy the nice weather and just slum it around downtown. I was instantly drawn to her within minutes of our conversation, the thoughtfulness and passion she showed talking about the journals and put into her pieces was like a labor of love, a rare find I thought. I told her I wasn’t much of a journaler myself, but I would spread the word to any of my “journaling bookworm” friends, got her biz card and I left. The next week I found out a friend of mine Natalie was having her 45th birthday on Feb. 3rd, and had once told me in the past that she likes to journal. She is somewhat the introvert and begged me to drag her out of the house, and she didn’t have any plans for her birthday. I knew exactly where I wanted to take her, back to Liz. We/I got lucky Saturday and Liz happened to have her stand open at the Farmers Market, and it turns out Liz’s birthday was on the 2nd, the day after my friends. We chatted Liz’s ear off and she told us about her old art gallery along with her journal making and other things, and I could have honestly talked to her forever. Oh, on a sidenote, I bought my friend Natalie a journal for her birthday, I guess hence why I am answering this “other” checkbox haha. Maybe I should have bought one for myself(?) Well, to “submit” or “not to submit” below, that is the question. Liz, if you happen to be reading this, Happy Birthday to you also, was great talking with you about anything and everything today. Feel free to call me if you like XXX-XXX-XXXX, Monti. Ummmm…. <submitted> 🙂
